Cocoa Monkey Smoothie

Hey there friends! I hope you are doing well! I am back today with another great recipe- one that you will definitely need to add to that recipe box! 🙂 Inspired by our local health food store’s cafe, I have taken this smoothie and made a few of my own personal changes. Not only is it delicious and kid approved, it is jam packed with nutrients! This could definitely pass for a breakfast smoothie or a nutritious meal on the go, as it is filled with potassium, magnesium, healing bone broth protein powder, and is sweetened with raw honey. I think you will really enjoy this one! And don’t be afraid to add some of your own creative ingredients or to swap an ingredient or two for another- pure maple syrup for the raw honey, for example. I can’t promise the results will be the exact same, but often we discover new favorites as we step outside the box and get creative! Enjoy!


1/2 cup milk of choice

1 frozen banana

1 scoop Ancient Nutrition Bone Broth Protein Powder

1 T. cocoa

1 T. raw honey

Dash pure vanilla extract

1 cup ice


Add each of the above ingredients, in order, into a blender. (If you have a high speed blender, such as a Vitamix, that’s an extra bonus!) Blend until smooth. Add additional milk to aid in blending, if needed. Pour into a large glass and enjoy! 🙂
